The colorful lights and other decorations surrounding the heart of the city and all shops, makes shopping all the more merry. A must is a walk down Grafton street where the christmas lights are unreal. On Grafton street you can also find Brown Thomas and their popular christmas shop has holiday decorations galore. The beautifully designed Christmas displays on the store windows not only make for good festive photos but also add a magical feel to the christmas spirit.
Big and popular shops like Penney's on Mary street are rumored to extend their opening hours until late in the night to cater to their shoppers for the time missed out in shopping in their favourite store during lockdown, while staying within government guidelines, of course.
With many irish shoppers anticipating the reopening of shopping centres , we know many children will be very excited to visit Jervis shopping centre to see a very special someone from the North Pole. Yes Santa , Shoppers can take their little ones to meet the very man himself to find out if they have been naughty or nice. Jervis also offers many choices to help you find the right gift for your loved ones.With most shops offering special christmas deals there’s a variety to choose from, with the likes of Curry’s PC world, Argos and The Perfume shop, you really cannot go wrong.
Just remember in times like these to not only spoil your loved ones, but also enjoy yourself shopping. Grab a nice warm drink and enjoy these wonderful festive times on the streets of Dublin , sing along with the buskers , keep an eye out for a choir and get into the Christmas spirit. And indeed, Grafton street looks so beautiful nowadays! I went there for a stroll and saw all the Christmas decoration, it gave me that Christmas spirit! They are also playing Christmas music there so it’s really the perfect place to get in that festive mood!

Shopping in Dublin city centre is definitely my favourite place because of the wide variety that both Grafton street, temple bar and Jervis all give. With lockdown just over I’m sure the hungry Christmas shoppers will be out enjoying themselves! I saw on social media that people were queuing for Penneys on both Mary’s street on O’Connell street from half 5 in the morning! I was definitely eager to get back into Penneys but not that eager! I agree with you about how the colourful lights make shopping much more merry! It really brings out the joy and excitement about Christmas!
